Depending on the Ph of your skin, jewellery can tarnish very quickly – regardless of weather it is sterling silver, pewter, stainless steel …. and if you are like me and “high maintenance” then my advice to you is to keep a jewellery cleaning cloth with you in your bag to polish your pieces up with.

Here is a tip for cleaning the pewter charms:
Use a sponge to gently wash the pewter piece and rinse. Dry and set aside. in a mixing bowl add one teaspoon salt, one cup white vinegar and half cup of flour. Mix slowly until paste is formed. Use this as the cleaner.
For sterling silver:
Mix 1 cup of boiling water, 1 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon baking soda together. Then pour into a foil lined pan – add your jewellery. Slowly add 1/2 cup of vinegar and watch it do its magic. Let it sit for 5-10 mins – rinse and dry.
